Apparently, forgive and forget is not the way of Bill Belichick, especially toward a former player. Still bitter over his team’s loss, the New England Patriots coach lashed out at the Denver Broncos’ Wes Welker for his open-field pick on Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib, which knocked him out of the game. Calling it “one of the worst plays I’ve ever seen,” Belichick said he believes it was a “deliberate play to take out Aqib.” Welker left the Patriots after playing under Belichick for six seasons, and it doesn’t look like the two will reunite any time soon.
