My stick vacuum has changed my life. I used to think of a vacuum as something inherently big, bulky, loud, and attached to the wall. I thought hand vacuums were the way to go. I was wrong. Stick vacuums are amazing because many are wireless so you have complete freedom of movement, and many can convert into handheld vacuums and dust busters, that offer more power. It’s a two-in-one that dreams are made of. I’ve stepped up my vacuuming game recently, and here are some of our favorite stick vacuums so you can, too.

The first thing that jumps out at you about the V15 Detect is this: it has lasers. Dyson fitted a green laser to the brush head so you can see microscopic bits of dust and debris that you would have otherwise missed, and witness the V15 suck them all up. But that isn’t where the upgrades stop. My favorite thing about the vacuum is this: you can actually tell how much you’ve cleaned, scientifically. On the screen on the vacuum, the Dyson will track how many and what size particles it is inhaling.Best Feature: Not only does this have the highest suction power, it also has great attachments, a fabulous run time, and can suck up just about anything.
The Bissel is the lightest option you can get. It’s powered by a cord, which is good if you’re someone who often forgets to charge things (me). It is great as a stair cleaner, a regular vacuum, and a dust buster, and is really compact and easily storable. This is definitely a great option.Best Feature: If your arms get tired pushing a hefty vacuum back and forth, this lightweight option will make cleaning your home a breeze.
The Tineco is the one I have, and I love it. I thought my apartment was extremely clean until I started using it. It shines a blue light over things so you can spot every bit of dust, and has a blue light near the handle that turns red and activates the iLoop technology to increase suction power when a spot is particularly dirty. It also connects to your phone and makes vacuuming fun by showing the stats of how much you’ve cleaned, as well as when it’s time to change the filter or if there’s anything wrong with the suction. It also can easily transform into a handheld dust buster, too. Best Feature: This vacuum has Alexa capability and uses an app, but it's not too smart. It's just as smart as a cleaning product should be.
This is one of the sleekest options, as it pretty much disappears when you’re not using it. It has two batteries so you can use it for extended periods of time and the controls are just a press of a thumb away.Best Feature: Vacuuming on hardwood floors can be tricky, but this one has a specific roller suited for the job, perfect for grabbing up every last bit of dust and debris.
Scouted Contributor Steven John says the Proensic P11 “cleans [his] whole home better than a Dyson.” Not only does it have the same suction power, charge time, and a great handle, but it also can be fitted with a magnetized wet mopping attachment, making it a nifty, space saving, 2-in-1 machine.Best Feature: It has to be the mopping attachment. I mean, if you need to mop your home, this is likely the way to go.
