President Joe Biden said on Friday that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s decision not to inform him of his hospitalization was a lapse in judgment, but also insisted that he had not lost confidence in his pick to lead the Pentagon, according to Reuters. Austin was hospitalized on Jan. 1 from a painful UTI, following an elective prostatectomy in December. Austin, 70, is still in the hospital as he receives treatment for complications stemming from prostate cancer surgery.
