President Joe Biden’s new puppy, Commander, made his public debut on Twitter Monday. A posted photo showed the scampering German shepherd playing with a ball, under the caption, “Welcome to the White House.” Commander joins Major, the Bidens’ rescue dog, six months after their longtime pet Champ, also a German shepherd, died. CNN reports the puppy was a present from the president’s brother, James Biden, and sister-in-law, Sara Biden.
