Microsoft's founder and chairman is getting his hands dirty again. Bill Gates will step down as chairman to become "technology advisor," working full-time several days a week. The move will give Gates more time with new CEO Satya Nadella who takes over Tuesday. Despite the more junior roll, Gates still owns a 4 percent stake in Microsoft and is one half of the multibillion-dollar Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. So much for retirement.
