Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is facing doubters as the clock ticks down to his Senate hearing on Wednesday.

Bill O’Reilly, a former Fox host, said he believes that Kennedy “will go down” while speaking on NewsNation’s On Balance.

The conservative was skeptical that President Donald Trump’s contentious pick for secretary of Health and Human Services will make the uphill battle of Senate confirmation.

O’Reilly claimed that Trump is starting to use a new technique for getting his way: strong-arming politicians. But it may not work for Kennedy.

“He wants what he wants when he wants it,” O’Reilly said.

The first time Republican senators will say no to Trump’s efforts is Kennedy’s confirmation, he predicted.

“RFK, he’ll go down,” he said.

Pete Hegseth, another controversial choice for Trump’s administration as secretary of defense nominee, passed the Senate by the skin of his teeth last week. He was ultimately confirmed with a tie-breaking vote by Vice President JD Vance.

“Hegseth was lucky,” O’Reilly said.“That was really close.”

The conservative said that Trump may not be able to force his decisions on the Senate as easily as the House due to their terms in office.

“The Senate is six years,” O’Reilly said. “Most of those people will still be in office when Donald Trump leaves. So, he doesn’t have the cudgel there that he has on a two-year term in the House.”

Trump could ruin a politician, he claimed, using Liz Cheney as an example for his wrath.

“He destroyed her,” O’Reilly said. “That’s what politics unfortunately is all about. No more voting your conscience, no more coming up with a better idea. You go along to get along. And it’s bad.”

Kennedy begins his Senate hearings tomorrow, with an uncertain fate on whether he will be confirmed. Many have criticized Kennedy for being anti-vaccine, with Trump himself calling him the “dumbest member” of the Kennedy dynasty last year.

“Republicans, don’t waste your precious vote on this phony Liberal Activist,” he wrote to Truth Social in May.
