The Academy decided to go with an old standby. Billy Crystal, who has hosted the Oscars nine times, will host the awards show once again. "Am doing the Oscars so the young woman in the pharmacy will stop asking my name when I pick up my prescriptions. Looking forward to the show," the actor tweeted. He replaces Eddie Murphy, who stepped following Brett Ratner’s departure. Ratner, who was slated to produce the telecast, exited after taking criticism for saying “Rehearsal is for fags” during an interview with Howard Stern. He was replaced by Brian Grazer.
