Bling Empire: New York star and jewelry designer Lynn Ban died on Monday at the age of 52 following a skiing accident in Aspen and subsequent brain surgery. Variety reported that Sebastian, Ban’s son, posted the announcement of her death on Ban’s Instagram account to her 175,000 followers. The message included pictures of Ban, her husband, Jett Kain, and Sebastian. The post also included a heartfelt message from Sebastian. He said, “She was and always will be my best friend, the best mother to me, and someone who cared for all.” Ban revealed on Dec. 30 that a skiing accident landed her in the hospital. A brain bleed necessitated an emergency airlift to the trauma hospital. Ban owned Lynn Ban Jewelry, which has been worn by celebrities like Rihanna and Beyoncé.
