A coalition of the Black Lives Matter movement released a policy platform Monday that includes a call for reparations for slavery and criminal-justice reforms. The Movement for Black Lives said in a statement that it aimed to stop the “increasingly visible violence against black communities.” More than 50 organizations helped develop the platform over the past year, including Black Alliance for Just Immigration, the Black Youth Project 100, and the Black Leadership Organizing Collaborative.
