Unveiling his final city budget must have really loosened up Michael Bloomberg. In an interview with Politico published on Tuesday, the New York City mayor praised Vice President Joe Biden as having “a set of balls, and he says what he believes.” While Biden had “forced the focus on gay marriage,” Bloomberg said, “I’m sure the president was evolving and was about to do it anyways. But Biden deserves the credit. He should be the hero of the pro-gay marriage community.” Bloomberg criticized the president for not embracing gay marriage sooner—as in, making it a priority on “day one.” As his last year in office winds down, Bloomberg’s off-the-cuff comments have also been in the news for telling a reporter to “check out the ass” on an unknown woman.
