Florida wildlife authorities say the remains of a 47-year-old woman attacked by an alligator on Friday have been recovered after her arm was reportedly found inside the 12-foot-6 beast. The woman, identified as Shizuka Matsuki, was found late Friday at the Silver Lakes Rotary Nature Park after apparently being dragged into a pond while walking her dogs, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. “This is heartbreaking for everyone involved and our sincere condolences go out to the family and friends of the victim at this time,” the agency announced on Twitter. Matsuki was reportedly seen walking her two dogs early Friday but the pets were later spotted wandering around alone, one with an apparent bite wound. Local police told the Sun Sentinel the dogs “won’t leave the pond” after Matsuki was dragged into the water. The park has been closed until further notice following the incident.
