U2 reported on its website that frontman Bono injured his arm when he fell off his bicycle in New York City’s Central Park. As a result, the rockers are postponing a planned residency on NBC’s The Tonight Show to give the singer time to heal. Bono needs surgery to repair the injury to his arm, the website said Sunday. “We’re sure he'll make a full recovery soon, so we’ll be back,” fellow band members The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen wrote on the site. “Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding.” News of the fall comes only four days after Bono experienced an in-flight scare when the rear hatch fell off the singer’s Learjet en route from Dublin to Berlin.
