Latching onto this summer’s Grand Prix schedule (and a savvy SEO play), Apple dropped the first trailer for Brad Pitt’s F1 on Sunday during the British Grand Prix, showing the cinema titan behind the wheel to the tune of Queen’s “We Will Rock You.” The trailer showcased Pitt as the fictional former Formula 1 driver Sonny Hayes, who comes back to race again while he mentors a rookie, played by Damson Idris. The film shot at multiple real F1 races, including last year’s British Grand Prix, according to Variety. F1 also marks director Joseph Kosinksi’s follow-up to his Academy Award-winning film Top Gun: Maverick. The film will be released on June 27, 2025. Also on Sunday, Pitt and girlfriend Ines de Ramon were seen hand-in-hand at the British Grand Prix itself.
