Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s daughter Shiloh recently published an announcement in the Los Angeles Times to change her name from Shiloh Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Jolie, according to People. Under California law, people who change their names are required to publish their request for a name change in the notices section of a newspaper that is in “general circulation.” The announcement must be made a month before the person can have a name change hearing. Shiloh promised that she would drop Pitt from her name on May 27, her birthday, according to TMZ. Pitt was reportedly “aware and upset,” after Shiloh’s announcement, People reported, according to a source close to Pitt. “The reminders that he’s lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad,” the source added. Another source told People that Pitt has “virtually no contact” with his children. “His engagement with the younger kids is more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule,” the source went on.
