Bulgarian officials said Saturday that a circulation pumps malfunction in one of its two Soviet-made nuclear power reactors at the Kozloduy Plant caused a partial shut down. Kozloduy said in a statement that the plant on the Danube river was running at only half capacity until inspectors could ensure that all systems are operating normally, adding that they did not foresee a risk of radioactive contamination.
