At a rally with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Friday evening in Glendale, Arizona, former President Donald Trump said that he intends to release classified files relating to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. (Trump previously promised in 2017 to release “ALL JFK files other than the names and addresses of any mentioned person who is still living,” but did not actually do so during his term in office.) “In honor of Bobby, I am announcing tonight that, upon my election, I will establish a new independent presidential commission on assassination attempts,” Trump announced. The commission will be “tasked with releasing all of the remaining documents pertaining to the assassination of President John. F. Kennedy,” he continued, the crowd roaring behind him. JFK assassination researcher Jefferson Morley previously told the Daily Beast that Trump “had no interest in resolving this issue,” during his presidency. “When [Mike] Pompeo asked him, ‘Don’t release this stuff because the CIA doesn’t want it out,’ he said, ‘Fine,’” Morley claimed.
