Busy Philipps Accuses James Franco of Assaulting Her on ‘Freaks and Geeks’ Set

Actress Busy Philipps calls James Franco a “fucking bully” and accuses him of shoving her to the ground on the set of Freaks and Geeks in her new memoir, Yahoo! reports. In an excerpt of This Will Only Hurt a Little, Philipps reportedly describes how she was directed to gently hit Franco on the chest while filming a scene for the show. Franco allegedly got upset and broke character. “He grabbed both my arms and screamed in my face, ‘DON’T EVER TOUCH ME AGAIN!’” the excerpt reportedly reads. “And he threw me to the ground. Flat on my back. Wind knocked out of me.” Philipps says that everyone around her was horrified, and co-star Linda Cardellini told her to call her manager. According to her account, Franco apologized after being told to do so by the director and producers. She also said he was never punished for his behavior. Franco was accused of sexual misconduct earlier this year.
