California, Nevada, Maine, and Massachusetts voters opted to legalize recreational marijuana use on Tuesday night, while one other state rejected the measure. Voters in Arizona came out firmly against the initiative, with many saying they feared stoned drivers on Arizona roads. While marijuana use will remain prescription-only in Arizona, the four other states could soon see a boom in stores selling recreational marijuana, as well as public spaces catering to smokers. In addition to the initiative on recreational marijuana use, four other states—Arkansas, Florida, Montana, and North Dakota–voted in favor of legalizing medical marijuana on Tuesday night.
