Two real-life sisters web cam together and, thanks to the rising fascination with fake incest porn, some of their most-watched videos on Pornhub have millions of views—but it’s not what you think.
Ginger and Emma Banks stress that they only do the things they’d also do in real life, like a professional topless massage or naked yoga together. Fans can imagine what they want, as these two sisters draw the line at having sex or even sharing the same partner at the same time. However that doesn’t mean they can’t capitalize on customers’ kinky fantasies and have a healthy, sisterly support of each other’s careers. They didn’t plan this, by the way—it just happened. Ginger had been a prolific web cam model for several years before her sister Emma decided to test the waters. As the sisters tell it, Emma came over to hang out on cam with Ginger and though she didn’t get naked or topless, she made so much money she quit her day job and asked big sis to teach her the ropes.
Both sisters are very clear about their boundaries and comfort levels but that hasn’t stopped fans from fantasizing and soliciting requests. Those requests are a lot more frequent nowadays compared to when they first started.

“The main request from fans is a threesome—they really want to us share the same penis,” says Emma Banks. “We don’t do sexual acts together. We’ll dance together or be naked by each other but that’s as far we go.”
Ginger Banks has noticed that, regardless of what they do, videos with her sister in it attract more views than any other type. “My videos on Pornhub, the only ones that have gotten over a million views are the ones that my sister is in with me,” says Ginger. “We don’t even do anything [sexual], it’s just people’s imaginations.”
As we discuss why fans are drawn to the taboo nature and fantasy of fauxcest, Ginger recalls an interesting moment from childhood when she asked her church about the origins of mankind. “I was the person in church who asked about Adam and Eve. What happened, did their children have to have sex with each other? They told me in church that incest was okay until Noah’s Ark came along, and I was like, I don’t remember reading that in the bible,” recalls Ginger. “I was asking who populated the world, and they didn’t like that very much…”
Incest is one of our most universal taboos—and has deep historical roots coupled with sordid cultural deviance. Game of Thrones arguably reinvigorated our cultural fascination with this sinful taboo, gamely chronicling Cersei and Jaime Lannister’s sexual escapades.
Some worry about what this type of interest means for future generations of porn watchers, particularly as fake incest porn is exploding in popularity. A quick Pornhub search for most-viewed videos showcases a list of clips averaging between 30 to 80 million views each and 80 percent of them are fauxcest (featuring titles like “bratty sisters doing step-brothers,” “step-siblings caught in the act,” “Mommy teaches stepson a lesson,” etc.). If you’ve ever wondered why it’s all about “step” relationships, that’s not so much a moral choice as a legal one.
The emphasis on that “step” relationship when sexual acts are engaged in is very important, notes Alex Hawkins, vice president of adult video site xHamster. “Actual fauxcest, by which I mean, actual brothers and sisters or actual parents and kids, is illegal,” says Hawkins. “Most billing companies will not even allow fictional versions to be sold. That’s why there’s always so much emphasis on ‘step.’”
In a recent xHamster internal study of porn preferences, men and women had a similar rate of interest, with a report of 20.8 percent of men commonly watching fauxcest and 15.7 percent of women. According to xHamster, the interest in this category tends to decline with age, and is most popular among 18- to 24-year-olds.
Like other taboos before it, some believe this rising fascination is merely temporary and nothing to be concerned about. “It’s less about ‘family,’ as very few of us do anything but recoil at the thought of being intimate with a family member, and more about the transgression and boundary-crossing. We are attracted by the idea of what we should or shouldn’t do,” says Hawkins. “There’s a tendency to see something like fauxcest and see it as the culture getting more and more vulgar, but these are cycles. We moved from video vixen to girl next door to teen to MILF to stepmom, and back. Believe me, we’ll see the world move on from fauxcest sooner than you think.”
