Two people allegedly planned to spend Valentine’s Day killing customers at a mall in Halifax, Nova Scotia, then killing themselves—until Canadian police found out and put a stop to it. Police were tipped off to the suspects’ plan after receiving tips on the Crime Stoppers line. Police then surrounded the home of a 19-year-old male suspect, who shot himself. A 23-year-old American woman was arrested at the airport in Halifax and confessed to her role in the plot. According to police, two other men in Nova Scotia were also involved.
