Rapper Cardi B addressed a resurfaced Instagram Live video where she described drugging men and stealing from them in a new post on Tuesday, saying she made certain “choices” at the time because she “had very limited options.” In the three-year-old video, the rapper is reportedly heard saying she would take men back to a hotel where she said she “drugged” and “robbed” them. “That’s what I used to do,” she said, according to Page Six. In an Instagram post Tuesday, she said she never claimed to come “from a perfect world wit (sic) a perfect past” and said she was “not proud” of her previous actions. “I made the choices that I did at the time because I had very limited options. I was blessed to have been able to rise from that but so many women have not,” she wrote. “Whether or not they were poor choices at the time I did what I had to do to survive.” She also added that the men she referenced in the video were “men that [she] dated” who were “conscious willing and aware” of what was happening. “I have a past that I can’t change we all do,” she wrote.
