Cardi B Faces Backlash for Telling Internet Trolls to ‘Cut Veins’

Cardi B has triggered an uproar on social media after telling internet trolls to commit suicide in a rant on Instagram Live. The rapper aimed the comments at online trolls targeting her sister Hennessy. “You should just fucking throw yourself off a balcony,” she said, addressing those who she said were “talking shit” online. Despite someone off camera apparently urging her to tone down her language, she went on to say, “You need a fucking life. You need to cut your motherfucking veins.” More than 40,000 people were tuned in when Cardi B made the remarks, and many were quick to accuse her of encouraging suicide. She has yet to respond to growing criticism of her remarks.
