Talk about star power. Speculation is mounting that Friday’s opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games may feature Celine Dion and Lady Gaga singing the Edith Piaf song “La Vie en Rose” together. The two superstars arrived in Paris earlier this week, with their presence prompting a flood of speculation about their possible participation in the one-of-a-kind ceremony on the river Seine. It would be the first public performance since 2019 for Dion, who has been receiving treatment for the super-rare neurological condition Stiff Person Syndrome, which has stopped her hitting her normal high notes. According to the Guardian, French President Emmanuel Macron refused to say in a TV interview what exactly ceremony director Thomas Jolly was planning, but had a “Gallic twinkle in his eye” as he admitted: “There is also a surprise.”
