Cesar Sayoc Will Be Moved to New York to Face Charges

Mail-bombing suspect Cesar Sayoc Jr. waived his right to a bond hearing in Miami Friday and agreed to be transported to New York for the next phase of his court appearances, according to a report from NBC News. Sayoc, an avid Trump supporter, has been in federal custody since he was arrested last week at an auto parts store near his Florida home. He was later charged with five criminal counts—interstate transport of explosives, mailing of explosives, threats against former presidents, making threatening interstate communications, and assault of current or former officials—all linked to the 13 confirmed mail bombs he allegedly sent to prominent democratic figures including Barack Obama, the Clintons, and George Soros. If convicted, NBC notes, Sayoc will face up to 48 years in prison.
