The actor John Forsythe, who played Charlie in Charlie’s Angels and starred in Dynasty, died Friday at the age of 92. Forsythe got his first acting role in 1943, a bit part in the film Destination Tokyo. He then took the leading role in the CBS sitcom Bachelor Father in 1957, before taking the role of the always off-camera Charles Townsend in Charlie’s Angels in 1976. He reprised the role for the 2000 Charlie’s Angels movie and its 2003 sequel.
