Vice President Joe Biden said on Monday that Tea Party Republicans “acted like terrorists.” During a private Democratic caucus meeting, Biden made the comments in agreement with Rep. Mike Doyle of Pennsylvania, who said, “We have negotiated with terrorists. This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.” Biden then said, “They have acted like terrorists.” Biden added that the debt-reduction deal would take away the Tea Party’s “weapon of mass destruction,” referring to the threat of a default on debt obligations.
