Hot enough for ya? Texas has just marked the hottest summer on record in the U.S., according to the National Weather Service, with an average of 86.8 degrees from June to August. That beats the state’s previous record, from 1934, by more than a full degree. And it wasn’t just Texas: Oklahoma’s average this summer, 86.5, placed second on the all-time list, and Louisiana’s summer average is fourth in the record books.
