After decades of entertaining, Betty White is getting political. The 90-year-old funny lady threw her support behind California Rep. Howard Berman’s reelection campaign, praising his animal-rights work. In a new ad White tells Hot in Cleveland costar Wendie Malick that, in addition to getting a dog, if you want a friend in Washington you should “reelect Congressman Howard Berman. The valley leader who fights for the humane treatment of all animals ... And he has very nice blue eyes.”
