What do you do after you’ve exposed government secrets and been blacklisted from any job you might once have hoped to get? The Washington Post caught up with three whistleblowers, one of whom now lives in a mobile home in Yellowstone and fly fishes, while another has left D.C. for Oregon. Thomas Drake, who was prosecuted under the Espionage Act for voicing concerns that the NSA was invading Americans’ privacy, now works at an Apple store, where he once ran into Attorney General Eric Holder, who was shopping for iPhones. When Drake introduced himself and asked why the government is going after him, Holder quickly left with his security detail. “It’s not every day you get to talk to the chief law enforcement officer of the land about your case,” Drake said, “or at least try.”
