Bradley Stone, an Iraq War vet accused of killing his ex-wife and five in-laws Monday, was found dead in the woods a half-mile from his Pennsylvania home. Stone suffered self-inflicted cutting wounds to the center of his body, officials revealed at a 4 p.m. news confrence. Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Ferman said a sword or large knife was also used during the pre-meditated massacre.
In addition, police have reportedly recovered video recorded by Stone on a cellphone near or on his person. Stone was the target of a massive manhunt in two counties north of Philadelphia. Police said Stone shot his ex-wife to death after killing her mother, grandmother, sister, brother, and niece. The lone survivor is his ex-wife’s 17-year-old nephew, who is hospitalized in serious but stable condition. Stone’s neighbors told The Daily Beast’s M.L. Nestel they could hear Stone removing his children as they said, “Mommy no. We need my mom. I want my mom.” The Souderton Telford Rotary is planning a fund for the care of the surviving children.
