FBI Recovers Deleted Hillary Emails

The FBI has reportedly recovered both personal and work-related emails from Hillary Clinton’s private computer server that she used during her time as secretary of state. The FBI is investigating the reasoning behind the presence of classified information on the server, and the remainder of the probe will take an additional several months. Also Tuesday, the Democratic presidential frontrunner dismissed a Washington Post report that claims the State Department’s request for her emails was “prompted entirely by the discovery that Clinton had exclusively used a private email system.” The report contradicts what Clinton has maintained, which is that the department asked for her emails as part of a routine record-keeping effort to archive “everything from other secretaries of state, not just me,” as she said Sunday. When a Des Moines Register asked Clinton about the discrepancy between her and the State Department’s accounts, she said she didn’t know.
