Former United Nations Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali has died, the Security Council announced Tuesday. Boutros-Ghali was an Egyptian diplomat who served as secretary-general from 1992 to 1996. Rafael Ramirez, current president of the Security Council and Venezuela’s UN ambassador, announced Boutros-Ghali’s death at a meeting on Yemen’s humanitarian crisis. He was 93 years old.
