Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Wednesday that he will not budge on refusing to consider President Obama's Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland. “We think the people should choose, as we’ve said repeatedly,” McCconnell said. Hours later, Senator Mark Kirk of Illinois, a Republican in a tight race with a Democrat for his seat, said he will consider Garland for the high court. Senators Kelly Ayotte, Jeff Flake, Rob Portman, and Susan Collins all said they will meet with Garland.
