Raju Narisetti, News Corp’s senior vice president of strategy, has been named the new CEO of a Gawker-less Gawker Media Group, CNN reported Wednesday. The company will be renamed Gizmodo Media Group, named for Gawker’s famed tech blog, when Narisetti begins his tenure in late October. Gawker Media was acquired last month by Univision after a long legal battle with pro wrestler Hulk Hogan over a blog post featuring a sex tape of him with a friend’s wife. Gawker ultimately lost and was forced into bankruptcy, prompting a sale of its sites—save for Gawker.com, which has been shuttered—to Univision.
