Conservative firebrand Tomi Lahren is suing Glenn Beck and TheBlaze for wrongful termination. Lahren’s lawsuit claims her show on the right-leaning network was canceled after she came out as pro-choice during an appearance on The View. The lawsuit alleges that TheBlaze kept paying Lahren even while she was suspended, “presumably hoping they could find an exit strategy to sanitize their unlawful conduct.” The suit says The Blaze’s response to Lahren’s pro-choice comments was meant to “inflate Beck’s profile, from what has become a mediocre following, all at [Lahren’s] expense.” She claims she was ordered to not use social media, and that Blaze employees put yellow caution tape on her dressing room door in the shape of an “X.” Lahren’s contract was reportedly in place through Sept. 30. “Lay down and play dead really isn’t my style,” Lahren wrote on Twitter later Friday. In a statement, The Blaze pushed back on the idea that Lahren was fired. “It is puzzling that an employee who remains under contract (and is still being paid) has sued us for being fired, especially when we continue to comply fully with the terms of our agreement with her,” a network statement says.
