Chick-fil-A wanted to stay out of trouble, but it can’t get its CEO to keep his mouth shut. Just days after the company refused to comment on the Supreme Court’s gay-marriage cases, the famously controversial Dan Cathy took to Twitter to express his outrage. “Sad day for our nation; founding fathers would be ashamed of our gen. to abandon wisdom of the ages re: cornerstone of strong societies,” Cathy tweeted. He deleted the tweet moments later. Cathy created a nationwide controversy last year when he spoke publicly against gay marriage, igniting protests at Chick-fil-A restaurants and a backlash from conservative Christians.
