A new birdlike species of dinosaur has been discovered, and it’s nightmarish. While its scientific name is technically Anzu wyliei, scientists have dubbed the creature the Chicken from Hell as it was 11 feet in length, and weighed a cool 500 pounds. “It would look like a really absurd, stretched-out chicken,” said paleontologist Emma Schachner of the University of Utah. The three specimens of the beast were found in the Hell Creek Formation at three locations in North and South Dakota. The creature essentially looks like a cross between a velociraptor and an ostrich.
