Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said he will propose a resolution to rename the Russell Senate Office Building after John McCain, who died Saturday at 81. “Nothing will overcome the loss of Senator McCain, but so that generations remember him I will be introducing a resolution to rename the Russell building after him,” Schumer wrote. The building is currently named for Senator Richard B. Russell of Georgia who fiercely opposed civil rights in the 20th century.
