CNN fired back at President Donald Trump late Saturday for his attempts to discredit CNN International, the network’s global channel that employs thousands of journalists worldwide. “It’s not CNN’s job to represent the U.S to the world. That’s yours. Our job is to report the news. #FactsFirst” the network’s public relations account wrote in a tweet. The response came after Trump tweeted that Fox News is “MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly. The outside world does not see the truth from them!” CNN journalists, particularly those employed by the international network who are stationed around the world, similarly pushed back against the president, noting that many of them risk their lives to practice journalism. Trump often watches Fox News, which features more pro-Trump hosts and personalities.
