Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former personal attorney and longtime “fixer,” on Wednesday gave the House Intelligence Committee documents showing alleged edits to the false written statement he delivered to Congress in 2017, The Daily Beast confirmed. The documents were reportedly meant to elaborate on allegations Cohen made during an hours-long House Oversight Committee hearing last week in which he said that Jay Sekulow, Trump’s former personal attorney, edited his statements before the House and Senate intelligence committees. It was not immediately clear what edits were made to the documents that Cohen presented to the House Intelligence Committee. Sekulow has denied the allegations made by Cohen, calling them “completely false” in a statement last week. In response Cohen’s Wednesday testimony, Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani simply reiterated Sekulow’s denial and accused Cohen of “demonstrably lying.”
