Columbia University President Lee Bollinger announced Monday that he hopes President Obama will return to campus in 2017. Bollinger didn't elaborate further about Obama's involvement at the university and later clarified that he was reiterating a statement made in May by the Barack Obama Foundation. The relationship between Obama and his alma mater has been a bit rocky in the past with the university recently losing out on the opportunity to house the Obama Presidential Library. The White House has said there is no final decision on Obama's plans after his presidency.
