It's goodbye for Conan O'Brien's "Tonight Show" run as NBC is nearing a final agreement to cut Coco loose and replace him with ex-host Jay Leno, as was reported first by The Daily Beast’s Kim Masters. O'Brien continued his public campaign against his soon-to-be-ex bosses on his Friday show with another volley of potshots. "In the press this week, NBC has been calling me every name in the book," he said. "In fact, they think I'm such an idiot they now want me to run the network." Leno also addressed barbs over the negotiations in his own show that night, going after David Letterman for hammering NBC's plan to drop O'Brien. "Even Dave Letterman is taking shots at me, which surprised me. Usually he's just taking shots at the interns," Leno said.
