A Buffalo police officer was suspended without pay Monday over a series of Vine videos he posted to an account called “Angry Cops,” which appears to have a rotating cast of characters. The suspended officer, 29-year-old Richard Hy, appears in several videos in uniform, and in one he makes a joke about stealing cocaine from an evidence room. One reads: “2 #idiots #overdose WHEN THEY ARE INSIDE #DRUG #COURT!!!!! What the crap? #firefighter #cops #ems #justsayno kids.” Local reports allege that Hy broke the department’s policy by wearing his uniform in some of the videos.
