Today's the day! The Daily Beast's tech team last night flipped the switch on a new comments platform, which now lives on all recently-published articles, cheats, and videos on the site. The software, built by LiveFyre, will lead to what Beast editors hope will be a higher level of discourse and less vitriol--a result of better moderation tools and a low system tolerance for spam. Registered commenters should have no trouble logging in. Readers who aren't active commenters are encouraged take the comments for a spin. To try it, click the "sign in" link on the upper left-hand portion of your screen, and register using an email address or your preferred social media account. The Beast welcomes your feedback in the comments as we all adjust to the new platform.
