For the second consecutive night, Trevor Noah went in on Fox News’ Sean Hannity during The Daily Show for the “creative excuse” he used for why he had apparently retained the counsel of Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen.
Responding to Hannity’s convoluted explanation, Noah asked Tuesday, “He wasn’t your lawyer, he just answered your legal questions? How do you not know the definition of lawyer when your head is shaped like a dictionary?”
“Seriously, giving legal input and perspective is exactly what a lawyer does,” the host continued. “Hannity might as well have come out and said, ‘He was my lawyer but just the tip.’”

And yet even as Hannity denied giving professional legal help from Cohen, the Fox News host maintained that their conversations should be protected by attorney-client privilege. “So he’s not your lawyer. All you had was a few chit-chats about real estate, but you definitely want attorney-client privilege, you definitely want that,” Noah said. “What the fuck did you bury under that house? I’m just saying I’ve had a lot of conversations about real estate, at the end I never went, ‘This never happened.’”
“You know what gets me is how casually Hannity is trying to minimize his connection to Michael Cohen like it means nothing, especially when every other day of the year he’s the guy who can bake a conspiracy cake out of nothing more than an egg and the word ‘Hillary,’” Noah said, throwing to clips of Hannity promoting the “Clinton Crime Family,” the “Mueller Crime Family,” and the “Comey Crime Family.”
With that, Noah walked over to a bulletin board of his own with the words “Hannity Crime Family?” written across the top.
“I have a theory of my own and I think it’s going to bust the Hannity-Michael Cohen story open,” he said. “Get ready to have your minds blown, because I believe I’ve uncovered a complex criminal network. My theory is that Sean Hannity is a client of Michael Cohen.”
