Nearly 11 years to the day after Diff’rent Strokes star Dana Plato died from a drug overdose, PopEater reports that her son Tyler Lambert has committed suicide. The 25-year-old son of the troubled teen star shot himself in the head according to the Tulsa, Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The National Enquirer claims that Lambert's death is the result of his depression concerning the anniversary of his mother's death on May 8, 1999, which was also ruled a suicide. “Tyler wanted to be with his mother,” Lambert’s grandmother allegedly told the tabloid. “His father Lanny (Lambert, Plato's ex-husband) is devastated."
