Congressional leaders said Thursday they’ve reached a bipartisan deal to reopen the Federal Aviation Administration, ending a deadlock that had jeopardized the jobs of thousands of government workers. Republicans and Democrats were stalled on short-term funding for the FAA. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said the deal will allow an estimated 74,000 transportation and construction workers to return to their jobs while Congress continues to settle long-term differences over the FAA.
