The death toll for Friday’s brutal New Zealand mosque shootings grew to 50 people, Police Commissioner Mike Bush said Saturday. The commissioner announced that an additional body was discovered inside one of the mosques, and that all of the victims’ bodies have now been recovered. Bush said that the number of people injured has also risen to 50, and that two of those victims remain in critical condition at the Christchurch Hospital, along with 34 others. The announcement comes as families are still scrambling to find out what happened to their loved ones, a day after a gunman entered two mosques and opened fire on those inside. Bush said that a final list of victims will not be revealed until all of the victims have been formally identified.
