New York coffee company Death Wish Coffee, a coffee brew that claims to be the “World’s Strongest Coffee,” has announced a recall of its Nitro Cold Brew coffee cans. In a report from the FDA, the 11-ounce cold brew cans could contain the deadly toxin botulin. No illnesses have been reported as of yet, but the FDA urges customers who have purchased the cans to either dispose of them or return them for a refund. Toxin botulin can often be a fatal form of food poisoning, and cause “general weakness, dizziness, double-vision and trouble with speaking or swallowing... [and] difficulty breathing.” The report advised anyone experiencing these symptoms seek medical care. “Our customers’ safety is of paramount importance and Death Wish Coffee is taking this significant, proactive step... of recalling all Death Wish Nitro cans from shelves,” founder and owner of the company Mike Brown said in a statement.
