Denmark’s iconic Little Mermaid statue—which draws tourists from around the work to a harbor in Copenhagen—was defaced with a painting of the Russian flag. The rock on which the figure sculpted by Edvard Eriksen sits was apparently vandalized in the early morning hours of Thursday—the latest of a series of attacks on the statue, which once had its head chopped off.
